About A Comedy Hypnosis Show?

A few times each year someone is a little worried about having a comedy hypnosis show at their school, company or private party.
I know how you feel.
That's why I have prepared the following information which will take you from a place of apprehension and confusion about hypnosis that's been caused by misinformation and fiction to one of clarity and understanding based on fact.
I know you are also concerned about liability and that's exactly why you'll love this program! If you are a school, It's far safer then any type of activity you currently have.
Soon you'll understand what I mean.
I am Chris Cady, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and stage entertainer of 17 years.
Stage hypnotism provides fascinating entertainment. It is based on the greatest wonder and mystery of all - the human mind.
Unfortunately what most people know or think they know about hypnosis comes from movies and television.
This is Hollywood's fictional version of hypnosis.
Unfortunately Hollywood does a fine job of distorting the truth and stereotyping various occupations and races of people.
If we believe everything Hollywood told us then we'd certainly believe that every doctor was rich, every white southerner was stupid, racist, drove an old truck and had a hound dog named Rex... African Americans were all criminals, Italians were all in the mafia, every blonde was dumb, every Hispanic got here illegally, every Jew was a lawyer or banker... ( Are you upset yet?)
Aren't stereotypes wonderful?
Oh yes, and that all hypnotists were old creepy white guys with beards and that hypnosis is spooky and evil and linked to the occult.
How unfortunate.

The following pages will clarify everything for you and again help you to make an educated decision about hypnosis shows.
Hypnosis is a perfectly natural occurrence which humans snap in and out of several times a day.
It has been used in therapy since 2000 B.C. and was approved by the American Medical Association in 1958. In therapy it is used to help people reduce stress, gain confidence, lose weight, stop smoking and for sports enhancement. Just to name a few.
In a show, hypnosis is used for comedy. You'll learn more about that shortly.
Hypnosis is best described as a state of relaxation, an exercise for the mind, rapport with your unconscious and the ultimate display of self control.
Here are a few examples of hypnosis:
Have you ever been driving in your car and you became preoccupied with thinking about something other than driving, or you were really enjoying the music on your radio, you then pulled into your driveway and suddenly you thought, "I don't remember anything about the drive, how did I get home?"
You were in hypnosis!
You see, your conscious mind was preoccupied and your subconscious mind drove the car.
Have you ever found yourself flipping through the TV channels repeatedly for several minutes, perhaps even hours, not really watching any program? Just flipping through the channels, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 etc.
You were in hypnosis! (Also known as TV trance).
Have you ever been having fun playing with your children or your friends, or reading a book and you lost track of time?
You were in hypnosis!
And nothing bad happened to you did it?
Of course not because you were in control at all times.
All hypnosis is self hypnosis. The hypnotist is a coach and a cheerleader. Not a wizard, sorcerer or a magician. The volunteers are mental athletes following fun suggestions that result in a fun and dazzling performance for all. They are in complete control at all times. Even though they do not appear to be.
It is impossible for anyone to get stuck in hypnosis, lose control or be made to do something against their morals.
I assure you that my performance is family friendly and appropriate for all ages ( unless you request otherwise). There is nothing vulgar, violent or sexually oriented in my show. In fact my performance is safer and cleaner than any current prime time TV program.
All of my material is safe to enjoy in front of your children and your grandmother, yet is still very entertaining for an all ages audience or even a college high school audience.
I also do not put any of the volunteers in any situation that would embarrass or traumatize them. Everything I do is fun for all and I end the show with positive empowering suggestions that the volunteers will take with them for life.
As I stated earlier, I know you are concerned about liability. That's why you'll love my program!
You see, unlike football where students are violently crashing their bodies into one another and regularly breaking their arms and legs, and sometimes permanently injuring their necks and backs. Or baseball where students hurl a hard object at each other and swing a heavy metal bat within inches of a catchers head, or wrestling where students literally twist and slam each other into knots, and shop and chemistry class where dangerous tools and chemicals are used by inexperienced students, or even a dance where hundreds of students dance wildly in a dark crowded room with music that is played at ear damaging volumes…
or a corporate team building event where people are swinging out of trees...
My show is 45-90 minutes of controlled, positive, safe, non stop, side splitting laugh a minute fun. No one has ever been injured physically or mentally in one of my shows.
I can provide you with a sample list of routines normally found in one of my shows. You'll find them to be fun, safe, and totally appropriate for any group or school.
This show is one of the safest types of programs you could ever have.
